Connecting to the Terminal Server
To connect to ARAG's terminal server remotely, a connection to the VPN is required. (see VPN connection solution).
After the VPN connection is established, from your computer's start menu find Remote Desktop Connection
And select it
On Computer enter the terminal server name you have been provided and click Connect.
On the Windows Security window that appears, please select More Choices and click on Use a different account
Username should be your Windows username but should also include the domain. e.g. your username is UK00XXX then the username will be ARAGUK\UK00XXX
Password should be set to your Windows password. Please also select Remember me and click OK
After your successfully pass the Windows Security step, your computer will ask you if you would like to accept the server's certificate and connect. Please check the box Don't ask me again for connections to this computer and press Yes
Please read and accept the Conditions of Use by pressing on the OK button
You should now be able to see the terminal desktop. You should be able to see shortcuts to Bud and Lawsys on the desktop. You can use office.com to connect to all M365 applications or use the applications from the start bar.
Please note the blue bar at the top of the window which reads the terminal server name.
Please select the minimize and restore buttons from the bar shown at the top of the terminal window to return to your computer's desktop.
Please note that the desktop icons are different to your own computers.
To close the terminal session, simply click the X button on the top blue bar. Please note that the user is only disconnected when the terminal session is closed, meaning that the next time you use the terminal server, all open windows/applications you left running will be there waiting for you.
